Grant Application 2009
“ The mission of the Economic Development Committee of the Loess Hills Alliance is to facilitate economic activities that respect the preservation, protection and integrity of the Loess Hills.”
Eligibility Requirements:
Projects must benefit the Loess Hill’s counties; preference will be given to landform communities.
Project emphasis must promote economic development in the Loess Hills.
Projects must address one or more of the following: Agriculture; Zoning; Property Rights; Tourism; Cultural and/or Historic Resources; Land Use; Natural Resources and/or Commercial.
General Operation and Maintenance projects will not be considered.
Preference will be given to applicants that have not received funding in the past year.
Preference will be given to projects that will be completed within 12 months.
Applications must be typewritten, font minimum 12 pt. in Times New Roman font style.
The original application and 7 copies must be submitted.
One grant request per applicant will be considered.
Grant request Minimum is $1,000.00. Grant request Maximum is $10,000.00.
Signature of the applicant in Section A is required.
Application deadline is November 21, 2008. Announcements will be made in January 2009; projects must be completed by January 2010.
Missing or incomplete items will disqualify your application.
A written bid(s) for each expense listed on your budget must be attached to your application.
Grants are awarded based on a 50% match basis. 25% must be matched with cash; 25% can be in-kind.
Completed applications must be sent to the Plymouth County Economic Development Office, Plymouth County Courthouse, 215 4th Avenue S.E., LeMars, Iowa 51031. Applications must be received by November 21, 2008.
Grant recipients will be required to publicize acknowledgement of the Loess Hills grant
