The Protection Committee works with other non-profit conservation partner organizations in the region to balance development and permanent protection. Together, we partner to restore native vegetation, protect cultural resources, and educate landowners and the public about the Loess Hills Landform, as well as how to minimize human impact to significant areas. We strive to promote and protect the unique history and characteristics of the landscape.

Meetings take place at Loess Hills State Forest Headquarters (206 Polk Street, Pisgah).  Meetings are open to the public. Please contact us to confirm meeting time and location. 

• Wednesday February 1 at 10am - This meeting was canceled
• Wednesday, May 3 at 10am - This meeting was canceled.
• Wednesday, August 2 at 10am - This meeting was held in conjunction with the Stewardship Committee meeting.
• Wednesday, November 1 at 10am - This meeting will be under the new combined Stewardship Committee, which is merging with Protection Committee.
